Objectives
Provide a forum to:
- Communicate openly, express ideas and share experiences
- Present educational opportunities and IBM / Business Partner solutions available in the market
- Provide paths to technical expertise related to the use of WebSphere family of products, solutions and related products and services. Continually engage a broad set of supporting participants to ensure the maximum amount of value is derived for the User Groups, User Group Members and IBM.
Background and needs
The Websphere User Group started as a Danish initiative by the time most
of us where concerned with whether our systems would have enough digits to get into the new century. It centred on the Websphere Application Server, but as the Websphere family has evolved over the years the conference focus has broadened. IBM?s current WebSphere infrastructure initiatives and new products reinforces the requirements for combining all WebSphere related areas into one conference.
In the ever changing market of Information and Communication Technology (ICT) individuals need to peer up to be able to navigate through the information jungle. WSUG aims to get give the participants valuable knowledge aimed at the Nordic business conditions.
It is the goal of WSUG to help the user community understand the possibilities as well as challenges of the WebSphere offerings, how it will impact the current infrastructures, and to provide a forum for technical exchange as we enter the brave new world...
Activities
This is done through user presentations, use and needs, news presentations from IBM and other vendors, technicians, group discussions, project work and submittal of requirements.
Resources
We do not provide on our website any forums or other resources for WebSphere Users, this due to the fact that our work is voluntary so we try to keep need for maintenance at a minimum. But we would like to point out a few good WebSphere resources that you can use as a starting point
